    No one uses 14 or 20 rounds to defend their home.
    A six shot revolver is ample for a civilian. Or even a 7 shot
    auto... or a shotgun....
    Andrew has made that same point here in the past. He's said, for
    example, that a shotgun would be far better for home defense than an
    AR-style rifle.

    But a shotgun doesn't look as "manly," so it doesn't help in the other department.

    I’d of though a shotgun is more manly it’s the firearm I have the most experience with as well I grew up in the country so farmers and hunters
    often have shotguns, and have some limited firing them.

    Hunting rifles in my experience are often fairly small things built for a purpose, i suspect they’d not to well at being peacock type of things.
