Thursday I put in 30 miles and I'm following more or less the same course today. If I take the long rout both ways I can get in 40 miles but I don't know if the others will want to after a 4th of july hangover.

I have noticed that there are more cyclists on the road but that may well be because Gavin
Loathsome has chaced all of the businesses away from California. Under the "professional" management of Loathsome, prices of everything in Cqalifornia have continued to rise and now he chased oit refine3ries.So gas will go up at least another $4 to over $
8 a gallon That will make it necessary for Liebermnn
to beg his neighbors to take hin to the local store.

How long could thatr last before he starts telling them that5 he knows a better route and takes them 20 miles out of the way?

It's unfortunate that so many unameliorable things bother
    you so much.

I enjoyed another perfect ride early today, another in an
unbroken run for over two weeks, which is rare. Moreso after
our miserably cold lingering not-quite-spring. Helps one's

This is a bicycle group and there should be no room for people that do not want to stick to the subject. Not that I'm not guilty of subject drift but at least I try.

Don't you think that the numbers of cyclists on the road and trails should be of interest?

And I should not hzve taken that pot shot at Liebermann but it is true that he is in no financial position to afford a doubling of gas prices and in no physical shape tu use a bicycle for his errands. What the Democrats are doing should horrify him. But
he seems more interested in falsely saying that I am wrong about something he doesn't know anything about rather than addressing threats to his own well being which most of us would agrree with him if he showed any concern about those things.

Indeed, had a nice ride last weekend, on the ridgeway though better of
going anywhere near Stonehenge as would be very busy on the roads! Not
perhaps the most intense ride but was 30 degrees or thereabouts and I
    prefer much cooler conditions.

But nice to be out in such an interesting area, lots of lumps and bumps, I
did drain the hydration pack though only with, a few miles Downhill back to car/cafe!

Week before had a lovely ride on some areas that I’d not ridden before at least by bike, near where I grew up.

He's afraid that I may insult him and he won't be able to respond. It never occurs to him that I am responding to his supreme egotistical postings. Did you notice how he hasn't told us where he worked as a real mechanical engineer after he said that they
wouldn't even let me in the room to take a PE test? This obnoxiousness is his constant state of mind. He can't stand the idea that I'm getting constant job offers and no one wants a completely unexperienced ME whether he has a PE or not. He can't stand
the idea that people do not have any respect for people that can only talk a good story.

Put in another 30 miles today.. From the looks of it I'll get in 500 miles this month. That should carry on for the remainder of the year which will give me 4,000 miles for the year or more since I'm almost ready to start doing my old routes out to
Pleasanton and Livermore. That could add an extra 250 miles per month kicking me up to 5,000 miles for the year if all goes well.

Out in the areas I used to ride, there is very little traffic so the riding is easier. Also there is a lot more climbing though none of it is the killer steep like the north side of Palomares. I'm not looking for another stroke.

Lots of people showed up for the ride today but it was a short one.

The 1030 recorded everything properly without zny problems and the average speed indicator acted like I expected it to znd which it was not doing so for the last several times I used it. Something must have changed. I probably downloaded a program update
before downloading the previous ride because the average speed now works as I would expect it to. The 830 doesn't act like that now.

Funny things have been happening as I di\tched Zone 2 (training) and reverted to Zone 1 (recovery). Each ride I have been getting better and better. Today's ride averaged 11.3 mph which is a tenth better than the last ride on that course. And we had a
pretty hard headwind which clocked around some to be less helpful on the return trip.

It was supposed to sprinkle today but although we had overcast, it wasn't even damp feeling. And there doesn't appear to be any heavy clouds in view.

I have to clean up the two DeRosa's and list them on Ebay. And Monday I have to call my investment councilor whoi seems to have disappeared off of the face of the Earth. He isn't responding to txt messages. I wonder if he moved on without Stiefel letting
me know. For that sort of business it would be strange but who knows?

We moved along pretty good for old people today. Four of us in the group and I led since I'm slower than the rest. Or at least sort of. They ride pretty fast for the first half of the ride and then drag the second half. I ride a pretty much even pace
from start to finish. But I do find it irritating for these guys to ride up along side of me - the opthamologist showed me that I don't have binocular vision so I am nearly blind in my left eye which might be correctable but the Boinocular Vision Clinic
at UC Berkeley doesn't have any appointments for six months. Wo my vision is largely my right eye which, thank heavens, is my dominent eye.

In any case today marks more than 2,400 miles of riding. I might try a longer ride tomorrow but I have to see how well I sleep. This is supposed to be an average rain year around here and lower than normal in the LA area.. So I should be ableto double
    that mileage for the year.
