The nurse rather than the doctor told me to not ride for two weeks. The OT said that I was in better than average condition. So I think that I will play this game by ear. I still have a small loss of balance if I take my eyes off of a vertical reference
but didn't I have that since my concussion? I had learned to live with that. So maybe the dehydration knock is nothing more than getting back to watching my references more closely again?

At the end of the month of June I should have my bills paid off again and be ready to buy some GP 5000 32 mm clinchers to go on my Shamals for the Time. I'm not sure that will work but I can try.

Since the Campy Shamals may push the tire too high rather than wider, they may not work on the Time and I will than put them on the DeRosa Idol which I'm running 32 mm Gatorskins on presently. They greatly increat the comfort of the ride but Gatorskins
still are very stiff tires and GP 5000's are not.

The Shamals are reaaly spectacular - flipping the rear wheel and front it turns for as long at the front wheel. There is practically no loss in the freehub. I also bought another set of Shamals and then after I recieved it, the bearings were shot. But
Robinsom replaced just the freehub bearings and cleaned and greased everything and it improved so much that it is difficult to tell the difference between them now. There is a very slight noise and increase in drag because of wear on the main caged ball
race. I think that this is replaceable so if push came to shove, I could make it perfect. But it is so close now that I won't bother.

I am presently working on the Di2 Ridley Helium. I suppose that I could replace the levers and rear derailleur but I like the idea that the 11 speed is interchangeable with the Shimano, SRAM or Campy cassette. This means that I could buy a carbon bar
with internal wires or drill some holes in the alluminum bar that I changed over to to shorten the reach. Just a couple of years ago I must have been really flexible because I remember the Ridley fitting well but when I tried to sell it it measured 2"
    longer than my present bikes.

I have to buy a couple of wires since I lost one and broke another trying to get it out of the carbon bar. I can also see if I can plug two wires into a lever and reduce the wire count to three wires from four. But if that doesn't work I can use a four
wire interface. I have already forgottenj where I placed parts (wires) during this changeover because of the medical problem.

But between the handlebars without the reach and shorter indepedent stem, all I have to do is move the saddle forward a half inch and I'm at the same reach as on the other bikes. And the present saddle position is too far back anyhow. Then I will ride it
for a couple of weeks and put it back on Craigslist.

I gave the charger to my brother because the lights didn't work. So I bought another off of Craigslist and it too has lights that don't work properly. So I have to charge the main battery up by time rather than with a light that shows full charge. Not
much of a problem since a full charge lasts forever.

That's because the text is only about 25 lines of text, followed by
190 blank lines, and ending with a single quote. One your keyboard,
the single quote key is next to the Enter key, so my guess(tm) is that
you fell asleep while holding down the Enter key, followed by slipping

That's an unusual statement for a quasi-millionaire to make!  ;-)

Yeah, one would think that someone making $10K a month off his
investments with his house paid off would be able to afford an $80 tire
    at his leisure.
