I have my doubts. When a chain "stretches", it is actually
beause of the pins getting abraded.
Does this happen more slowly with more expensive chains,
i.e. is it worth spending a bit more?
Usually yes but not always.
For chains where full roller product is available (track
chain, 5/6 speed) the difference is huge and well worth the
small price increment.
Less compelling for skinnier chains but there is still a
better value with many products despite a somewhat higher cost.
