• Final Glide - Walter Weir

I don't see this on this newsgroup (might have missed it), but for his friends south of the border, Walter passed away on June 12th after a short illness, at the age of 90. He was Canadian Badge Guy for many years (he processed my C badge in 1975 and my
Diamond badge in 2015) until very recently. A wonderful obituary can be found at https://memorials.eirene.ca/memorials/page/Walter-Weir-ZHbarR . He wintered and flew in Florida for many years. I miss talking to Walter at the Ridge, and the wonderful
birthday dinners at the Tavern with friends. We are diminished.

Walter was super helpful to me when I made a few trips out to Ridge Soaring in the 90s. I still have his Cambridge waypoint utility on an old PC somewhere. A very nice, very interesting man.
