Six years ago yesterday I did my last tows at SLGP. Since then I have started talking both my pensions, took SS at 68 and those alone have me making more than I did in a highly compensated position. I have also flown the P51Mustang at Kissimmee, gotten
a helicopter rating, gotten back into the Martial Arts, this time Krav Maga, had a house fire started by lightning,(I have to say State Farm came thru for me).and hurt my back (I'm almost 100 percent again). Life can be fun, exciting and difficult all
    at the same time.

It does appear that my pitching a fit about the Schweizer release and release handles not being properly positioned have convinced a few facilities to correct these conditions and I hope it is more than a few. I have been contacted by at least two tow
pilots who attribute these changes to helping save their lives so it was all worth it. You can't do much better than helping to save a life. So that adds two tow pilots to my two CPR saves in the hospital (documented in their medical records) and my two
Heimlich maneuvers giving me six life saves which is more than Benny Hinn can claim. Of course Benny says it is not he who does the savings, it is JESUS. Well thus far Benny cannot confirm one save by Jesus so ADVANTAGE, WALT.

In the intervening time at least two tow pilots have lost their lives, interestingly enough towing INSTRUCTORS, one fiddling with a GOPRO and another reaching for a canopy which popped open. What ever happened to KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE TOW PLANE and First
Fly the Glider? How can you expect a 15 year old kid to do it right when instructors are making such mistakes.

Now regarding OBTP, I have to say this. I have seen a lot of tow planes but none begin to compare with the configurations that he has built. The Yellow Gorilla has been the only tow plane I have seen with which I would even considering towing and I
    would never consider towing again.

I last flew a Pawnee 260 on April 13, 2016. That was about a month
after getting my used Stemme. On that day I did 3 patterns and landings
for proficiency and followed up with 10 tows. For me, a good finish.

Yes Dan, they are all related, Oral Roberts and his brothers Nasal and Anal and his sister Rectal. I tried to get into a Benny Hinn show once (can't believe you never heard of that schmuck). but didn't make it to the stage. I was gonna have a GRAND MAL
seizure and see how he handled it.

Years ago I had a run in with another one of those phonies. Ken Copeland, he claims to be the richest of them all worth a billion and he is a big time pilot but he almost took me out of the sky in a mid air shooting a long straight in to an uncontrolled
field In Alabama. When I confronted him about it he was most UNCHRIST LIKE. I didn't expect anything else. I find them all to be entertaining and absurd at the same time. Robert Tilton, Joel Osteen, Creflo DOLLAR, Joyce Meyer, Jimmy Swaggert, Paula
White, Jim Baker, Tammy Faye, Peter POPOFF, Jessie Duplantis, they are all schmucks in my Constitutionally protected opinion.

I'm a faith healer myself but I only do bruises and strains.

Thanks Walt, yes the Yellow Gorilla was one of three that I built the same way. My current towplane the "Towpecker" is pretty much the same. Yesterday I saw the video of another Pawnee crash where the young pilot burned to death down in Ft. Lauderdale.
To me it is the classic mistake done by both banner and glider pilots, too little too late!!! I am probably going to reduce or eliminate my tow services all together, after several thousands and an aging body I think it will soon be time to call it quits.
I will not be giving those Western high tows here in the flatland of Florida, but I will continue to fly my PURE sailplane as long as possible. OBTP

Yes Dan, they are all related, Oral Roberts and his brothers Nasal and Anal and his sister Rectal. I tried to get into a Benny Hinn show once (can't believe you never heard of that schmuck). but didn't make it to the stage. I was gonna have a GRAND
MAL seizure and see how he handled it.

Years ago I had a run in with another one of those phonies. Ken Copeland, he claims to be the richest of them all worth a billion and he is a big time pilot but he almost took me out of the sky in a mid air shooting a long straight in to an
uncontrolled field In Alabama. When I confronted him about it he was most UNCHRIST LIKE. I didn't expect anything else. I find them all to be entertaining and absurd at the same time. Robert Tilton, Joel Osteen, Creflo DOLLAR, Joyce Meyer, Jimmy Swaggert,
Paula White, Jim Baker, Tammy Faye, Peter POPOFF, Jessie Duplantis, they are all schmucks in my Constitutionally protected opinion.

I'm a faith healer myself but I only do bruises and strains.

    Walt

No one can watch that crap and believe him for a moment BUT PEOPLE DO. They send him money hand over fist believing they will receive a miracle. Personally I would only like to kick him and the rest of his ilk in the nuts.

    Walt
I've seen it. Go to YouTube and search, Robert Tilton - "We've Seen Midgets Grow!" He is absurd.

Now regarding OBTP, I have to say this. I have seen a lot of tow planes but none begin to compare with the configurations that he has built. The Yellow Gorilla has been the only tow plane I have seen with which I would even considering towing and I
    would never consider towing again.

OBTP
Come out to Washington. I’ll give you one or those Western high tows. They’re typically only to 3’000’ AGL in Ephrata FYI. Tell your wife to come out as well.

They are ALL full of shit but you can't shut them down because the 1st Amendment protects their bullshit. Unfortunately very desperate people believe their bullshit and send them SEED money in hopes of having Jesus cure their ills. Thus far Jesus is a
big fat ZERO working with Benny Hinn. You'd think Benny could talk to Jesus about his bad comb over. Jesse Duplantis and Ken Copeland are hilarious together but they own some nifty private jets, paid for by their followers. Even Billy Graham with his
800 foot Jesus was a hoot.

Charlie, thanks for the invite, Eileen and I have been out west flying and we never got one of those motorglider special 9K AGL specials, man has this sport changed, sometimes I will go to 2K AGL and I have times turned loose as low as 600 feet, even at
this old age I still do high speed passes on the deck and pull up catch a thermal and climb back to altitude, shame on me for doing such things, ha ha! I have come up with a name for those high tows, I call it, "The Motorglider OLC Benefit", kind of like
Santa Clause circling the globe in his sleigh except he has that ridiculously ugly shaft sticking out the front that makes him sure not to be late for dinner. I hope to be out west again soon and Eileen will be coming along to make be behave myself. Our
first stop will be Williams and then on to other areas. OBTP

You still need to Read the Rules, Old Bob, and have your local OO explain them to you. Then, find a tow pilot to explain the "secrets" of towing a glider to 9000 feet to have the same benefit that a motorglider gets with a 9000' launch. Or, sweet talk
Todd Tracy (beer, barbecue, camaraderie, free tows) into flying out Treasure Coast, where the lack airspace and swamp make a 2000' tow practical.

I believe DSM-5 has been roundly debated and many of the things it covered are no longer recognizable in the medical community. No longer is believing you are female while you are an XY considered a mental disorder. It's perfectly A-OK, absolutely fine,
just peachy. Chicks with dicks, no problem. I remember doing brain scans for patients presenting with these conditions and ideas.

Rarely found anything wrong but in those days a radionuclide brain scan was limited in scope. PET, CT, MRI can be more diagnostic. I know a couple of trannys, hard not to feel bad for them. I was asked recently if I had a preferred pronoun, I'm going
    with "IT."
