Hopefully not the end, but the Truckee Airport Board is making things difficult. The same things have happened at other gliderports and the FAA has stepped in to right things. Let's hope that this very unique soaring venue continues.
The contest was moved (as I understand it) out of two concerns: one is the status of glider operations from runway 20 regardless of Soar Truckee's lease, and the other is the very distinct possibility that 20 will be closed in July due to repaving,
regardless of anything else.
