    The best April Fools prank that I can remember was Region 9 entry qualification! Kilo Sierra was managing the event held at Parowan, Utah. It was oversubscribed, like 80 pilots trying to get in with a 65 pilot limit. Most entry’s were high on the
    ranking list and few positions were available for region 9 pilots. On April Fools Day, KS posted that everyone from region 9 who wished to enter would be entered, regardless of seeding!
    A lawyer from outside region 9, bought it hook, line and sinker and posted that he was going to file an injunction in Federal court at 08:00, Monday morning to force Region 9 to resend, cease and desist immediately…………,on and on…..!

    How fondly I remember the annual April 1st posts from Tom Knauff. No YouTube, but ingenious enough to pull in the insufficiently skeptical. I was reminded of those when yesterday I toured the vendors at Sun n Fun and saw the trivia question posted on a
    whiteboard "Which was the first avionics company to provide braille as an option?"
