  • Rotax 505 Charging Coils? HELP

    Long shot, but I have a 505 Charging coil part 865 805 that has gone bad.

    Does anyone have any spare coils?

    Or have you found a shop that can rewind them?

    The previous owner of my -505 had Rock Island Electric Motor Repair in Rock Island, IL rewind one of my coils. Cost was $465 in 2022. :(

    Tom Seim Just gave a presentation,today at the SSA conventions and showed how he built a winding machine to rebuild the coils. I recommend you try and contact him.
