I'm on the road again . . .
February 22-25 Attending our Soaring Society of America Convention at the Atlantis Resort Hotel south of downtown Reno (RNO), Nevada.
Feb 21 and 22 attend the FAA approved glider focused Flight Instructor Refresher Course (FIRC) presented by the Soaring Safety Foundation staff and renew your CFI-G. (CFI's expire every 24 months.) Registration is required and CFI "Wannabes' are welcome
to register for the course.
On Feb 22 (Wednesday at 6:00 PM) attend the FREE Soaring Safety Foundation (SSF) seminar that traditionally opens the conventions. I’ll be speaking along with my SSF colleagues in the Atlantis Resort ballroom. Attending counts for 3 WINGS credits (up
from 1 credit) from the FAA FAASTeam WINGS program.
Feb 23-25 find dozens of modern sailplanes and soaring equipment vendors in the adjacent Reno-Sparks convention hall.
Join us for the excellent variety of seminars and speakers, the Vintage and Oldtimers luncheon and see the restored 1938 Minimoa gull-wing sailplane on the convention hall floor. Enjoy a seminar on the restoration by Tom Evelo and hear my impressions of
flying the graceful Minimoa.
Find me and the SSF Trustees in the Soaring Safety Foundation (SSF) booth ready to answer your questions on glider training and schedule a SSF Seminar or a FREE Soaring Site Safety Survey visit to your soaring club.
Browse the vendor booths and stop to chat at the Vintage Sailplane Association booth and the Women Soaring Pilots booth in the Convention Hall for an encounter with kindred spirits.

Feb 25 (Saturday 6:00 PM) Get your tickets to the SSA Awards Banquet in the Atlantis Hotel ballroom. Casual dress.
