Anyone have any hints on how to remove a Discus 2b wheel with mechanical drum brake?round pin that engages a hole in the leg.
I want to take mine off to clean up the brake. The manual says "disconnect the brake cable and remove the connecting link then remove the axle". Done that. But I can't see how to free the torque lug on the brake plate from the LH undercarriage leg--a

This procedure is known as Brogan Maintenance ……..give it a good kick!Can’t follow your description, but I believe you must remove the bolt or pin at the brake arm then slide the wheel and brake down after removing the axle.
