If you are a new pilot in '22, you may participate in the poll and election. All known new names have been added to the list.
    Vote early- vote often.

I note that the Rules Committee in their survey has adopted the nomenclature of a certain Florida Red Neck tow pilot, in labeling engineless gliders as "pure" and motorgliders - by specific omission - as not "pure". I mention this as a public service,
since now this thread will be the top of the list for weeks to come, increasing participation.

    I propose these definitions:

"Pure motorglider" - a motorglider without tow hooks, so it can only self-launch.

"Pure 'pure glider'" - a pure glider without tow hooks, so it can only gravity launch

Given that the majority of the members on the RC own gliders with motors, I doubt any particular inference was being made.
I think you are just stirring the pot.

Fitch, I think the rules committee got it correct, there are two different categories and there should be. Now I am far from a REDNECK, I wear Tommy Bahama shirts, and shorts, along with Sanuk shoes and a nice hat that has a glider vector sewn into the
front. I brush my teeth twice daily, use deodorant, do not chew tobacco or smoke. I do enjoy Quiche, listen to classical music and fish offshore in my spare time. A true redneck would wear Bubba jeans, cowboy boots , have rotten teeth, stink like he has
never had a bath, and his 8 track stereo would have Willie Nelson playing in his 1979 F-150. Glad the rules committee got it right. Old Bob, The Purist

A read only version of this survey should be made publicly available for other interested parties. It is easy enough to hack, but I'd rather have an approved way to see the survey.

How about including would-be contest pilots, who are considering flying a contest in the coming year?

The poll and results are published at the end of the process for all to see.
