Does anyone know if Ridge Sewing is still making canopy covers? If not, is there an alternative? She made a robust alternate canopy cover that was separate from full glider covers. Much better than using the sunscreen cap available for staging.

    Hi David,

It is my understanding that Iris of Ridge Soaring closed-up shop several years ago. She made very nice canopy covers.

I sell Jaxida canopy covers that go on over the nose. They are available in indoor (hangar) and outdoor (all weather) versions. They also offer a metallic version that goes over the nose - for use just before flight. Let me know if you want a quote.
I'd need to know your glider type. https://www.cumulus-soaring.com/store/manufacturers/jaxida

    Best Regards,

Thanks Paul - Yeah, I thought I'd heard that she had stopped making covers. It's too bad. They are great. I have a set of full covers for the ship, but I wanted something like what Iris had made to fill the gap between the full fuselage cover and the
canopy cap used for sun shade. The Ridge Sewing product was great for outside long(er) term tie down.

Would this do for you? I've seen this item and it is pretty robust, but not like Iris' product.

I haven't seen them. Are they strong enough to be used as an overnight/overweek cover?

Well, snap. I've used a Ridge Sewing canopy cover for 20 years on my ASH 26E; in fact, she
took the measurements from my 26E to make the first one. It's succumbing to sun damage,
but I didn't know Iris had moved on.
