• LX9070 dumb question

From John Johnson@21:1/5 to All on Sun Sep 11 14:26:23 2022
Still learning my new-to-me 9070. I cant figure out how to move the location of of my glider's symbol on the map. When I pan the display, it simply reverts to the original position (about 1/3 up from the bottom of the map) after dismissing the pan mode.

I prefer à more centered position particularly with split screen pages. I suspect this is easy but after fussing with it endlessly, I give up.
    Thx, JJ

There is a group for LX flight computers and varios that might be more responsive:

    JJ,

In the manual, on page 12,745 section A, paragraph 19.....

Just kidding...but yes, with the endless opportunity to customize, comes the endless mess in finding where things are located...

The best way is probably to do this using the LX styler. Once you have opened the page so you can edit it, click on the glider symbol. It's labeled "plane" in the list of items on the left side of the screen.

There you can edit the location of the symbol on the screen. Once you have it where you like it, you can copy that item and then open the other pages and paste it into that page with the new coordinates.

You can also change the size of the symbol.

Thank you Mark! The LX is just similar enough in appearance to lull me into to trying to use it like my prior Oudie.
(Oh, and I also learned copy/paste - yay!)

Thanks Eric - I'll pester the Lx forum for future issues.

You can move the position of the glider fairly easily at the unit, seems much easier than using the styler unless you have a lot of other changes. It's in the layout options, keep advancing your selection until you are on the glider position. Sounds
like you are doing that? So it must be an issue with how you are leaving the layout menu. Make sure you save your changes.
