I seem to recall in a book published many moons ago about the design /building and flight of the gossamer albatross/condor. The people that ultimately were responsible for making, the drawing into reality, had to contend with a "McCready factor" - where
the designer (Paul McCready) estimated how long it would take to make/assemble the parts and what it actually took. A tech "fudge factor". As I recall it was a multiple of the designers original estimate. So was it 2x, 3x or what. Thanks and regards,
