Can anyone comment on the quality/reliability of the Winter 5-Way tubing connector? Thanks - Curt

I had one of those a long time ago and it makes removing the instrument
panel much easier than having to disconnect or remove instruments.  To
my knowledge it was good quality and never leaked.

Wil Schuemann's recommendation (a long time ago) was to use some light grease or vaseline on the male end of barbed connections to help ensure against eventual micro-leaks due to age-related tubing hardening. Similar thinking for o-ring-based connections?

Wil was meticulous and likely took a far more science-based approach to things than most of us...

I use silicone tubing for the instruments: never hardens, installs/removes easily, doesn't
kink as much, and stays in place on the barb. There might be colors available, but I just
use translucent white - it's common.
