Can't help on a Grob, but we can feel your pain. Getting ready to replace a rear on a K-21 at our place.

    Bob:
I believe that all Grobs are the same but the hoop or band between the canopies ( and the canopy size) on the "Twin Astir" is different.

Robert Mudd is still supporting Grob (at least he was last year). Best bet is to just call him. When we replaced one about 8 years ago that was damaged in a storm, it was shipped from Germany by LTB Lindner (who are great to work with BTW).
However it was expensive - IIRC with shipping it was close to $4K and I'm sure they've gone up since then.

You probably know this, but the canopy frames while "similar" are custom fit to each glider and they don't exchange easily; we tried it and found out the hard way. Also when you do the replacement it's best to have the frame on the fuselage otherwise
they twist all out of shape.

Thanks, had a good conversation with UH this morning and he headed me in the right direction. We plan on pulling the wings and tail assembly so we can work on the canopy frame and replace the glass. Good thing is that we have some pretty crafty people
and hopefully will be able to get the bird back in the air ASAP. Old Bob, The Purist

Bob, I have a set of G-103 Aster canopy frames, if that would help? I believe all twin Asters canopy frames are the same, but the twin 2 uses a different frame.

John, let me check and see if they are adaptable to our bird. OBTP

Bob, I have frames for the first Grob Twin, the one with a retractable gear. The names are confusing, firs model is a Twin Aster, the later model is called a Twin -2!
