Frequent contributor here, Dave Kinsell, perished in a glider accident yesterday. No speculation or details. Dave was a 45-year SSA member and long time member of Colorado Soaring Association, serving terms on the chapter board. He was also engagedwith the Auxiliary-Powered Sailplane Association. Dave was a ride pilot and cross country enthusiast and our radio and glider electronics go to guy. He will be missed.
Dammit! Losing even one of us it too much.
I knew Dave from my Colorado days. RIP.

This from my friend and former glider partner. There's a picture of the wreck.https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/1-killed-in-glider-aircraft-crash-in-larimer-county/ar-AA1g3Uir?cvid=76874c0ed8114c7ea3c4aed9bfd07677&ei=24
We lost a dear friend yesterday in a crash of his ASH-26E. Looks like
the engine was partially extended and the outboard section of the left
wing is missing. It looks exactly like the damage to my glider from the stall spin, likely left wing impacted first and then the fuselage
impacted the ground destroying the cockpit area. Pilot was Dave Kinsell.
