So now that the Brazil sprint race is over what does everyone think
of the format and should it continue?
I still like it.
I've not been a fan but must admit that I've warmed to it after
watching today's instance.
I liked the race, but not what it stood for. As another race to watch,
it was very entertaining, some real seat-of-the-pants stuff. But having
it decide starting positions for today, however, is a contrivance that I dislike, based on unsound logic.
If the sprint is to be used because racing should decide starting
positions, then just scrap one-lap quali, it's no longer needed.
You can start the sprint with last race's final positions. However,
at that point, you can scrap the sprint, as you can just start the
next race based on the previous race's final positions.
The sprint disproves its own worth.
