Worked it in 1981 and 1982 and would never go back, even considering it
is no longer run in the Caesars Palace parking lot.

Lost Wages has just become scammier and even more outrageously expensive
since the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s.

Vegas and Miami (crypto is dead) should simply go away, and F1 should go
back to its origins in Watkins Glen.

Screw the 'spectacle'. Bring back real road racing.

between 1969 and 1980 while living in Illinois and New York - but even

Yeah, and I've worked the Sebring 12 Hours, Daytona 24 Hours, Riverside,
USGP at Long Beach, Sears Point, Holtville, and Dallas, too, not Phoenix
and not Detroit, but the twenty year duration at the Glen is the
stickiest USGP F1 venue of the bunch.

Yeah, it's upstate New York, and we tented when we worked the races,
stayed aware of the bog antics, but tell the Governor and she'll shower
a few billion in subsidies to build Very VIP Boxes and hotel-casinos.
The Buffalo Miracle could easily be duplicated in the Finger Lakes.

Yes, the first 'modern era' US Grand Prix F1 road race was in
Sebring in 1959, followed by Riverside in 1960.

And that was why I did a long tow to drive a race at Riverside,
by passing the historical, but still active Laguna Seca. Oh well,
it is tough to predict the future.

But meanwhile as to F1 "US origins" tough to call it either of
those races, because they were marketed badly and financial disasters.
Watkins Glen was a blessing that properly fitted the time.
But would not, and could not, fit now.
