So, the end of the season. Fantastic points for Sreekumar, but not
enough to catch up with the season winners, Sir Tim and durian.
Enjoy the off-season and hopefully a competitive 2023 to come!

Thanks for doing this again, Mark.
So, the end of the season. Fantastic points for Sreekumar, but notThanks, Mark, for running this pool. It's always fun - even when it's frustrating :)

Many thanks for running the pool again this year, Mark, it always makes the GP weekends a bit more fun.

Absolutely - particularly with the cognitive dissonance of heart vs.
head, where what I want to happen for points for me clashes with what
I want to happen for points for my favourite drivers.

100% agreed. I think this year has been very disappointing (as it has
been in the past) because the Max/Red Bull combination has been so
dominant while Ferrari have been (even compared to the past) living down
to their reputation for poor strategy and Mercedes just completely
misjudged the new regulations.
As with every year, I want to see good racing. So, my hopes for next
year:
- Red Bull get their chip off their shoulder and whining like
underdogs*
- Ferrari get their act together and start competing on *every* day
- Mercedes produce a package which can be at the front
- Alpine and McLaren similarly make a step forward so that (on a
good day, at least) they can realistically look at podiums
- The teams and drivers stop being so bitchy and focus more on the
driving and less on arguing with their rivals and teammates
- The FIA start recognising their role to consistently and fairly
apply the rules to ensure good, fair racing
* I realise that while Horner and Marko are stirring the pot, this is
very unlikely. I suspect that it makes Max's tendency to whine far
worse than it otherwise would be. I had similar complaints about Wolff
in past seasons.
Of course, I also realise that I will have to discover unicorns before
even half of those wishes are likely to come true!
Have a good off-season, all, and enjoy Chanukah, Christmas, Saturnalia
or whatever else you might celebrate over the coming months!

It's not on my list because...I've never watched so much as five minutes
of it. Lots of my non-F1 friends have encouraged me, but not one friend
who I know as an F1 fan has ever suggested it's worth a look.
