Max Verstappen's refusal to let his teammate Sergio Perez pass him in
the final stages of the Brazilian Grand Prix not only surprised Perez
    but also Helmut Marko.

Red Bull immediately sat down with drivers
Perez was heavily disappointed with his teammate's attitude and he can
count on Marko's understanding. The Red Bull advisor says the team
immediately sat down with both drivers after the race and assures that Verstappen will indeed help his teammate in Abu Dhabi to secure second
    place in the championship.

"Our goal is for Checo to finish second in the championship, and Max
will do everything he can to help him do that. That's all I have to
say," Marko told ORF. Speaking to the German branch of Sky Sports, he
added: "We have now discussed what happened. It has all been sorted out internally. We are working as a team, the starting point is Abu Dhabi
and Max will do everything he can to help Sergio get that second place."

Verstappen runs the team. What would they do if he didn't follow team
orders? Fire him? Lol, they can't.

No but this is about fairness. It's still a team in the end and everyone
has to play their part. In this case it wouldn't hurt Verstappen at all.
But good to hear it has been sorted out. So case closed and we all
    should move on.

I can't imagine a scenario where team orders would help in a single race
given they are tied. If Perez is directly behind Verstappen and Leclerc
is behind Perez then Perez still gets second in the championship.

    Yes they can.

Not if they ever want to win a championship. He's irreplaceable.

😅😅what a frivolous thing to say.

Name one driver they could slot in and still win the championship who
isn't already in contract with another team. I'll wait.

Max still needs to catch Lewis's 11 seconds lead in Abhu Dhabi. RBR must
    not breach the cap.

His wins are circumstantial, Leckleec given the same scenario could win. Comment6likes Ignore userReportMagog +307713-11-2022 21:17
It doesn't come down to the last race if Hamilton doesn't throw away a guaranteed win by bungling the restart at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix
after Max's tire exploded. He's just not focused enough to be a champion anymore. Leclerc is contracted to Ferrari.

Good it was sorted internally but it shouldn't even have came to that.
Max have nothing to lose at this point

I am a Max fan but I have to say he is a Public relations night mare,
    Pride comes before a fall.
I am honestly disappointed in Max, there is no way u should go against
team orders especially if u are still an employee. Even after what RB
has done for him, he can still do that?
He is not above the team

If Checo qualifies behind Max, Leclerc and Sainz it's not possible. Comment5likes Ignore userReport

Talked out and sorted immediately. Good for them. Hope that's the end of
    this.

Max again shows he lacks any class. Unfortunately for him, class is not something you can learn. You either have it or you don’t.
