    military aviation newsgroup used to be good groups to participate in.
    Now
    they are shells of their former selves because of too many political
    garbage crossposts. They are either dead or well off topic now.

    On the first one, no. On the second one, I didn't think so at the time
    but, looking back, it is possible. On the third, I cannot say for
    sure. ;)
