    My guess is Hunter demanded some outrageous and illegal/Unconstitutional action and the lawyers refused.
    I hear he has already pressured his remaining lawyers to threaten the whistleblowers with prosecution for dvulging information.

    The deal the old team negotiated fell apart so badly they'll be
    compelled to testify about it, rendering them useless in court due to
    conflict of interest.

    I hear he has already pressured his remaining lawyers to threaten
    the whistleblowers with prosecution for dvulging information.

    The new lawyers are much more aggressive than the old ones. The revealed weakness in the prosecution's case perhaps calls for an adversarial
    approach.

    Of course, they don't have the power to prosecute anyone and the "whistleblowers" are already in hot water for leaks to the press.
