  • The Fact checker gets fact checked

From ScottW@21:1/5 to All on Wed Aug 9 10:50:19 2023
and the WaPo admits via "update" they had it all wrong.

    https://www.realclearinvestigations.com/articles/2023/08/09/for_washington_posts_feared_pinocchio_fact-checker_forthrightness_dies_in_updates_over_biden-burisma_story_971280.html

For the second time in three years, the Washington Post has quietly “updated” one of the most consequential fact checks in the history of American politics – its October 2020 article undercutting reports that Hunter Biden arranged a dinner meeting
between one of his foreign business clients and his father, who was then vice president of the United States.

But they had good intent according to the party faithful...

Here's the real story, for those willing to take Comer's word for it:

Payments to Hunter. What did Burisma get out of it? Their tame
    prosecutor got replaced.

The prosecutor who impounded numerous assets of Burisma CEO was replaced and all investigations into Burisma and it's officers were stopped
    and never resumed.

You really need to stop parroting the Biden BS.

They paid to get the friendly AG who wouldn't prosecute them replaced by
    one who would?

Definitely not asking you for money advice.

If Witless had a "mind", they'd claim this scheme was reverse psychology.

Begging the question: What advice would you ask of scottie?

    A Shokin fan?

    https://www.rferl.org/a/why-was-ukraine-top-prosecutor-fired-viktor-shokin/30181445.html

..Ukrainian prosecutors and anti-corruption activists with knowledge of
the matter argue that the timeline of developments in the Burisma case
and Shokin's stint as chief prosecutor simply does not fit the narrative
being put forward by Trump and his allies.

...Ukrainian prosecutors and anti-corruption advocates who were pushing
for an investigation into the dealings of Burisma and its owner, Mykola Zlochevskiy, said the probe had been dormant long before Biden leveled
    his demand.

"There was no pressure from anyone from the United States" to close the
case against Zlochevskiy, Vitaliy Kasko, who was a deputy
prosecutor-general under Shokin and is now first deputy
prosecutor-general, told Bloomberg News in May. "It was shelved by
Ukrainian prosecutors in 2014 and through 2015," he added.

Activists say the case had been sabotaged by Shokin himself. As an
example, they say two months before Hunter Biden joined Burisma's board, British authorities had requested information from Shokin's office as
part of an investigation into alleged money laundering by Zlochevskiy.
    Shokin ignored them...

"Ironically, Joe Biden asked Shokin to leave because the prosecutor
failed [to pursue] the Burisma investigation, not because Shokin was
tough and active with this case," Kaleniuk said.
