    “I’m concerned about the increased risk of severe injury and death for all road users from heavier curb weights and increasing size, power, and performance of vehicles on our roads, including electric vehicles,” Homendy said in remarks prepared for

    Then again...more houses burn down from electrical stoves than gas stoves as well.

    A valid concern. I've mentioned the regulatory incentives that favor
    heavy ICE vehicles and trucks. Of course carmakers will prefer to enter
    the market with larger more profitable models.

    Too bad for the consumer who wants something like the old Honda Insight
    if only Hummers are available.

    Same issues apply to the smaller cars with a substantial mass increase as well. Bottom line....every e-vehicle will be significantly more deadly in crashes than it's ICE equivalent.
    Or do you wish to deny the laws of physics...again?

    I agree car mass is an important consideration for safety. I trust you
    agree the old Honda Insight has less mass than the proposed Hummer.
