“Congress is going to need to raise the debt limit without — without — conditions and it’s just that simple,” Jean-Pierre told reporters aboard Air Force One as President Joe Biden flew to Texas. “Attempts to exploit the debt ceiling as
leverage will not work. There will be no hostage taking.”

Go ahead and defend this. I want to see you try.

Debt ceilings are not meant to prevent the government from carrying out
legal budgets and are likely un-Constitutional as a violation of the
    14th Amendment "Public Debt Clause."

"The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by
law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for
services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned."

    That's a defense? Wow....the debt is doomed.
Killed by Stephen's lack of defense.

If the Constitution isn't enough to defend against Republicans
deliberately breaking the government, perhaps so.

I brought the Constitution and the full faith and credit of the federal government.

on a very very short list of reasons for debts.
For example....no assurance of debt for student loans.
No debt for e-car charging stations.
    Need I go on?

Since listing budgeted government expenditures misses the point
