Not to diminish scottw's loony-tunes paranoia, but Sen. Cotton, representing the dark side of the moon, offered a trenchant view of the attack on Paul Pelosi:
“This attack never would have happened if the hammer hadn’t been allowed across the border in the first place.”
I'm hiding the source of this quote in order to trigger the Shmoos' outrage.

Don't go all Trevor on me. If you can't remember I've been bitching that the cloak of open investigations
casts far too long and wide a shadow....then you better get tested for alzheimers.

"The investigation will remain ongoing so the FBI and DoJ will never have to answer questions about WTF were they thinking?"

I told you so.That's not specific to Garland and a special prosecutor. However, I do remember the remark as I chose not to comment to point out the obvious
flaw that it was Trump and his legal team who were delaying the process
with meritless appeals and Judge Cannon's special master.
Another flaw was that the statement about Trump's motives were likely
leaked by Trump's legal team.

Trumps no longer in the gov't so my beef doesn't apply to him.
You're simply obfuscating the fact that the DoJ and the FBI
have become political tools able to smear and weigh on elections with the mere presence of an "ongoing investigation" that never has to come clean.
Add to this the brick wall of a coverup when the target of the investigation is
the FBI and/or the DoJ and the whole situation stinks of abuse and exploitation.

That's from Politico, a pub that is decidedly not reality-averse.

Trumps no longer in the gov't so my beef doesn't apply to him.Well done! So delay is still the DoJ's fault even when Trump causes it.

You really don't understand the simple difference between being in gov't and being out of gov't.That's why Whitewater was okay to investigate but Iran-Contra wasn't.
