Make: Sony

Issue: Does not read CDs in trays #2-5, but does read them
in tray #1.
This doesn't make sense, since there is only one laser-sled
assembly, and the carousel just rotates until the requested
disc is over that assembly.
Any ideas?
Maybe this covers a related issue sensor or otherwise-

Thanks David!
That video covers a ton of scenarios with these Sony Carousel changers.
With the hood off, I was able to determine that the player is stopping the carousel under trays with a disc in it. It's just having trouble TOCing(table of contents) the disc, pauses for a few seconds, then resumes rotating the tray in search of a disc
present. It always acknowledges a disc in carousel tray #1. It very rarely confirms a disc in space #2, and is almost always successful at #3 through 5.
