I do like the new format with no "deadlock" and the viewer votes

Though it will be a shame if someone who should be around till the end
has a bad week with an unfortunate song choice, or even some tactical
voting, and can't be saved, I like the simplicity.
True. It's a good thing -- or "a good job" as you Brits say ;-) --
that "Vote For The Worst" website closed down. But you never know. I
remember how some group of X-Factor haters organized a Facebook
campaign a few years ago urging people to buy a Rage Against The
Machine song with the sole intention of usurping Simon Cowell's annual domination of the #1 Christmas single... and it worked. RATM
ridiculously edged out Joe McEldery for the "honor." If that sort of
movement got started to skew the XF vote this season, well, without
the judges having a say there is no protection against that sort of
thing.
And the sing off
for first place was fun too.
Yes!
I really like Grace Davies BTW. She reminds me of Adele both in her
look and in her singing. I'm glad she won the trip.
And both Saturday and Sunday's eliminations were the perfect example.
IMO both the American Spencer Sutherland and Talia Dean were the right
choices. Spencer came across to me as too phony, and Talia had the
weakest voice among the girls. Looks to me like Britain got it right.
Agreed.
And BTW, I don't know how Sharon Osbourne does it. She'sin her 60's,
and is flying back and forth between London on weekends to do the
X-Factor live, and Los Angeles where she is a daily weekday co-host of
CBS's "The Talk." I guess earning millions is a strong motivator.
And no doubt flying first class helps.:-)
No doubt! From what I've seen (on TV and the internet anyway), the
first class seats on intercontinental flights are like mini luxury
hotel rooms with showers, beds, televisions, wifi, a bar, etc. But
still, the jet lag of flying through seven time zones twice a week
must be killer on the mind and body!
