A 23-year-old man was released from prison in Arizona and
promptly stole a semi-truck towing over $1 million worth of new
Corvettes because he needed a ride home, cops said.
Isaiah Walker, of Lawton, Oklahoma, stopped to talk with a truck
driver at the Willcox Loves Struck Stop near Interstate 10 and
lulled him into a sense of security before throwing him out of
the cab, the Cochise County Sheriffs Office said.
Walker then allegedly took off in the semi, along with 10
Chevrolet C8 Corvettes estimated to be worth over $1.25
million.

Deputies eventually spotted the stolen vehicle and attempted to
pull it over, but the driver refused to stop before speeding
away recklessly, officials said.
After being taken into custody Walker said the Corvettes were
not the reason he stole the semi-truck, telling police he
needed the truck to get home from prison.
