    As far as I know, it’s still in production. At any rate, there are
    plenty of on-line resources dated much later than 1984 saying that it’s
    still being done.

    As far as I know, it’s still in production. At any rate, there are
    plenty of on-line resources dated much later than 1984 saying that it’s still being done.

    Broom-Hilda has the distinction of being the longest running
    syndicated comic strip done by a single cartoonist (1970-present).

    Yes it did.

    In the Chicago Tribune Sunday comics as of March 5, 2023 - The Mt. Pleasant strip is replaced by Bound and Gagged, it's the return of this strip to the Chicago Tribune after a many years absence.
