    After several weeks of reruns due to Brain Basset's health scare, as of today, September 12, 2022: New daily episodes of Red and Rover resume. The New York Daily News now has put Red and Rover as the top strip of the 2 page daily comics while Zits
    continues its 2 week daily rerun mode in the NY Daily News.

    As for Sunday Red and Rover strips, I think new fresh ones won't resume until October 2022 since the September 18, 2022 Sunday Red and Rover strip with a Charlie Brown/Snoopy cameo came from 2019.

    Still no post surgery/sick leave Red and Rover Sunday for 2022 yet, since today's October 2, 2022 Sunday Red and Rover strip is a 2019 Sunday rerun.

    New Sunday Red and Rover strips resumed today post Brian Bassett surgery 2.0 on October 9, 2022.
