    NPCs are usually boring.

Ryan Reynolds new movie on Netflix about a NPC is pretty good.

To my eyes, it is like /Ready Player One/ or non-original Jumanjis
    done correctly.

If you ever wanted to see an enraged Rich Guy literally take an axe to
a server farm, this is your movie!

He was great: "Albuquerque Boiled Turkey!"

In fact, the Michael J. Fox guy, the heroine.. the whole cast was good.

though I already read and reviewed the book.

    What is a non-original Jumanji ?

The original game discovered (based on a very small sample) that modern children don’t like board games, and so evolved itself into something
    more attractive.

I'm not sure what this is supposed to convey.

The first of these two later films has a sequence that may or may not
be intended to show a kid doing the transformation.

The /original/ /Jumanji/ takes place in our world. Well, our world

The original /Jumanji/ takes place /entirely/ in our world. We never
see the inside of the game, as it were, just the bits that appear
    /here/.

There is no story inside the game in the original movie.

And "Zathura" was a fun movie too. Not a classic or anything, but fun.
