Comics Kingdom is replacing their comics with a paywall today:
    https://comicskingdom.com/crankshaft
    https://comicskingdom.com/funky-winkerbean
    https://comicskingdom.com/hagar-the-horrible

The first comic may be free.

The annual cost is $20/year. I guess that covers all comics in their
    stable.

Yes, and you can build a custom page with all your regular reads. Their website is clunky and suffers various failures much more often than,
say, GoComics - but it's worth the money on balance. YMMV.

To access the current ones (the latest 10?), you can either:

    - use a Prive / Incognito window in your browser,
or - keep deleting the cookie "comicskingdom.com".

Either way, without the cookie, the website doesn't know you've visited before.

You do have to pay to access old strips in the "archive" though.

Another trick that still works is to right-click on the thumbnail for
the Buy A Print ad and open in another tab...it's the full sized image just displayed tiny.

Dave Van Domelen, figures a pinch and zoom on a mobile device would also work there....

I've subscribed to CK for years now- it seems right as I use their product and want to support tha artists. My complaint though is about the nigh near usless web interface. Although I've registered for daily delivery of my comics, I have gotten any
emails in many years. My log in seems to dumped every so oftern and the site won't even let me log in on some devices. (The less said about the months-long failure to permit any log ins, the better.)

The cookie will come back every time you visit the website, so you'll
have to keep deleting it or have a way to block it.

As for paying for it, that's up to you and your own conscience. I've
never used the website other than looking at the paywall complaints, so
I don't know anything about it. They obviously do not own the comic
strips, but I have no idea if they legitmately pay licence fees to host
them or simply harvest/steal them from other websites.

It's the web outlet of King Features Syndicate, which owns the rights to publish all of the comics that appear there. (Newspapers that run these
strips license the rights from KFS.)
