Today's installment of Recycled FC is yet another gag that lazy Jeffy has recycled TWICE!

The first appearance of the gag appeared on April 15, 1983.

    The original caption was...

    Billy:
    "I think it has a child-proof top"

    https://www.newspapers.com/clip/98624294/the-cincinnati-post/

Then the gag was initially recycled on March 25, 2017. Billy's caption then was...

"I think this one came with a child-proof top"

    https://www.newspapers.com/clip/98624332/tampa-bay-times/

Clearly lazy Jeffy has run out of new ideas given that we have yet to see any original ideas this year. Honestly, I wish this strip was better off retired after Bil died.

as for April 15, 1983, the Post (25 cents) ran a graphic of Josh's Ark and how much rain fell here in the last several sweeps . ToP marathon runner Julie Isphording was profiled as one of the leading contenders in the Boston Marathon. The Reds were in
San Francisco to play a weekend series with the Giants. Opening in movie theaters: Flashdance. In the Postcomics, Linus saw a girl with a security blanket. He want ed to tell her how he broke the habit. The girl attacked him, and he yelled , "STUPID KID!

Today's FC recycled art from June 18, 1977. The original caption:

    Jeffy:
"Shall I tell Mr. Ferrell not to mow his lawn 'cause you want to sleep?"

And once again for Today's installment of Recycled FC, Lazy Jeffy resorts to using a strip that has been twice recycled.

The first instance was from June 18, 1977.

    https://www.newspapers.com/clip/104327685/the-pittsburgh-press/

Then, the same gag was recycled again 40 years later on July 1, 2017. This time Jeffy's caption was changed to:

"Should I tell Mr. Ferrell not to mow his lawn 'cause you're tryin' to take a nap?"

    https://www.newspapers.com/clip/104327623/pittsburgh-post-gazette/

Once again Lazy Jeffy. QUIT TRYING TO RECYCLE GAGS TWICE JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE ALL OUT OF NEW IDEAS!!!!!

The Cincinnati Post (15 cents) wrote in its Weekender edition of June 18, 1977 with the question, "Do medical costs mak you ill?" The Post named the high school baeball stars of 1977. Two of them - Rich Dotson and Scott Munninghoff - played in the Majors.
The Reds beat Montreal for their sixth straight win as Tom Seaver joined the team. At the Jolly Roger Drive-In, a tripleheader of Hollywood High, Summer School Teachers and Class of '74! The Mini Page looked at heroes, both human and animal. In the
Post comics. Peppermint Patty and Marcie were looking fr golf caddies. One told them to get on the first tee. When Marcie saw the golf clubs, she told Peppermint Patty that "I think we're in trouble, sir!"

And once again, Lazy Jeffy resorts to using an FC gag that has been twice recycled.

The first appearance of the gag appeared on July 9, 1983.

And then it was recycled again on July 4, 2017 with pretty much the same art and dialogue.

When will Lazy Jeffy ever admit that he's clear out of new ideas?!?!?!?

As for July 9, 1983, the Post (25 cents) told us that Governor Dick Celeste would try to get money for schools. They talked about John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John reteaming in the movie Two of a Kind. They said Grease was released in 1979 (it was
really 1978). The Reds beat Philadelphia 3-1 at Riverfront Stadium. Phillies boss Bill Giles was confident that baseball salaries would finally come down (they weren't). Now in theaters: Burt Reynolds and Loni Anderson in Stroker Ace. In the Post
comics. Snoopy was playing golf. He got some grass and put it on Woodstock, who was watching.

And I thought that donkey/elephant cartoon in the recycled from
1988 Family Circus strip on November 4, 2016 was vintage 1960's
    or earlier!

Today's FC used recycled art (with a tweak to Thel's hair) from
    October 30, 1976.

The caption was slightly altered. The original was:

Dolly: "We're fixing you breakfast. Which do you like - Sugar
    Whoops or Popsie Wheat Stars?"

I wonder why "Popsie Wheat Stars" was unacceptable in 2016 if they're going to make up cereal names?

    Looks like “Poopsie”?

Or maybe it was purely typographic, if the type size and copy space are invariant.

Today's FC uses recycled art from October 24, 1977. Thel's hair was tweaked (so what else is new?)

The caption was verbatim, except for one word:

    Dolly:

"Bein' a grandmother is easier than bein' a mother 'cause you get more time off."

And once again Lazy Jeffy has resorted to using an FC gag that has been twice recycled.

The first appearance of Today's strip occurred on October 24, 1977.

    https://www.newspapers.com/clip/112881199/the-cincinnati-post/

Then it was recycled for the first time on November 7, 2016 (with Thel's hair tweaked):

    https://www.newspapers.com/clip/112881227/tampa-bay-times/

Lazy Jeffy has clearly run out of any new ideas. Especially with this year being 99.5% recycled. I said it before but it bears repeating. The Keane family were better off retiring this strip after Bil died.

Well for the second time in a couple of days, Lazy Jeffy has used a Family Circus gag that has been twice recycled.

The first appearance of the gag occurred on March 27, 1995.

Then the gag was first recycled on November 2, 2017 with Dolly's caption changed to:

"We have to be quiet in church, in libraries, and when Daddy's team is losing"

    https://www.newspapers.com/clip/120282746/tampa-bay-times/

Seriously when will papers realize that Lazy Jeffy is fresh out of new ideas?!?! When will newspapers drop this strip the same way they got rid of Dilbert?

As for March 27, 1995, the Post (35 cents) told us about how e-mail works. The Academy Awards were going to be held that night on Channel 12, and guess who was going to host? David Letterman! "Oprah, Uma. Uma, Oprah". For years Dave made fun of it on
his show. The men's Final Four was previewed with UCLA facing Oklahoma State and Arkansas taking on North Carolina. In the Post comics, Susie Derkins was in Calvin's house. He told Hobbes that she was doing her homework. When Hobbes wanted to know why
she was doing it before her bedtime, Calvin noted that she had to practice the piano when she get home. Hobbes then responded, "Wow, it's like science fiction or something." Calvin then retorted, "'The Gender From Outer Space!"
