As many of you are well aware, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is about to sign into law the Parental Rights in Education legislation which has been dubbed as the "Don't Say Gay" bill.

Now interestingly enough, "For Better Or For Worse" is currently in the 1993 portion of it's rerun phase and that means we are at the point where we revisit the controversial (at the time) "Lawrence is Gay" storyline. When it first ran, about 100
newspapers decided to either run replacement strips or cancel Better or Worse altogether. I distinctly remember without looking it up on newspapers.com that both the Tampa Bay Times and the Tribune published the gay storyline in full. To me personally,
it did help me understand homosexuality and I was 13 years old then. BTW hopefully DeSantis doesn't read the comics page of the Tallahassee Democrat because they're still running Better or Worse as of last month. It might make him angry. :)
