2. Companies in my life have actually taken advantage of my Linux
notebook computer (before it died of old age). *It* had access to free open-source software for editing images, which beat anything the company
was willing to pay for. That's kind of an important tool for a web
programmer. And it connected to the company web site just as well as
any computer did, which came in handy at meetings. But no one got to
borrow it.
