• Re: META: Any Real Life RACC Meetups this summer?

From Scott Eiler@21:1/5 to Arthur Spitzer on Fri May 24 01:55:35 2024
This is a multi-part message in MIME format.
Oh, gee, I'm gonna have to boost this message to Usenet.

This year I won't be driving, or taking a train.  But a small airport
five miles from my home will now fly me nonstop to any of eight
different southwest U.S. destinations, particularly Las Vegas and San
Diego.  I'd recommend either of those over the larger airports, for
local accessibility plus things to do.  (Las Vegas has many fine
museums.  :D )  For airline choices, anyone not on the U.S. west coast
would probably find Las Vegas easier.

So, if anyone outside the usual RACCCon crowd wants to meet, I could
    show up.

So, I'd probably only do Vegas if I were meeting two or more people
(at least during the summer months -- part of the reason I like to
take vacations during the summer is to go to some place that is way
    cooler than Yuma).

But if you wanted to meet me in say San Diego (or LA) I could spend a
