For those who like the scary stuff I recently finished "Randalls' Round"
by Eleanor Scott. https://worldcat.org/title/1263786958


Many of the stories are reminiscent of the work of M R James -- with a
bit of antique English or Latin thrown in but she also had a very
original voice as well. It's a pity that an author of some very
chilling tales has basically been forgotten. A highly recommended
collection of short stories for the shorter days of the year.
