It's not like we will be seeing the tin dog in Doctor Who
again anyway... the BBC wouldn't want the negative publicity.
It's only really about Noel Clarke's reputation in the business
now.

not good news for Noel .
True.
And he’s a really talented actor. Shame he had to throw it all
away like this.

He was badly advised to sue a national newspaper when there were
so many different women prepared to come forward and testify in
court against him... these cases do attract bandwagon jumpers
but it's highly unlikely twenty women were all making up or
exaggerating stories against him... and the theory it was all
done to stop him getting a BAFTA seems a bit delusional...
As far as Doctor Who goes Mickey Smith, like Captain Jack, is
part of the show's history, not its future.

The article says that he claimed there was a conspiracy of people
conspiring to lie because they couldn't stand to see him get a BAFTA.
The judge had difficulty believing that 20+ people with no relation to
each other were conspiring against poor Noel. Yes, I also have trouble believing that.
Last night I watched "Sexual Healing," a South Park episode about
celebrity sex scandals. They make some good points, most notably that
men have always done this when given power,
so what do we expect exactly? That's true, but it doesn't excuse people
like Clarke being aggressive at the uninterested.

True. Men seem more prone, but on the other hand, it's only recently
that women have had any real amount of power.
None of it is news nor worth reporting in the news media in the
over-sensationalised way they do.
Interesting take, but if people want to hear about it, reporters will
report on it. They live and die on clicks.

It's not just men. For example, in yesterday's newspaper there was an
article about a female teacher who has been convicted of sex offences
against her 15 year old student.

Some stories are true. Some stories are bandwagon jumpers. Some stories
are gold-diggers trying to get money out of someone rich. Some stories
are morons trying to get their names in the paper / publicity. Some
stories are groupies who got what they were hoping for, and then
changed their minds afterwards. etc., etc.

Sort of. Women have always had power to some degree. In some places it
is women who have been the leaders.

For some people (not just these types of cases), it is noteriety that
they want, so reporting, especially in over-sensationistic style, is
exactly what they want. Such scum shouldn't get publicity, nor be
allowed ot publish books about their "experience". They should simply
be jailed and forgotten about.
