That wasn't what the bomb was for per se...it was to destroy all
non-Dalek life in every universe and dimension except those
within the Crucible... so the Daleks would be left as the sole
    race in existence.

Like a lot of Dalek plans over the years it doesn't really make
a lot of sense if you think about it fully.

Not just Dalek plans ... most TV and movies in general don't really
make sense when you think about it fully. Sci-fi, especially when
involving time travel, doubles-down on the not making sense. That's why episodes of shows like Star Trek where they simply push the big red
reset button (literally in the case of a David Tennant Doctor Who
episode!) are just a complete waste of time by lazy writers who can't
think of anything sensible to write.

I think Dalek plans tend to be a bit more bonkers than most!

most TV and movies in general don't really make sense when you
think about it fully. Sci-fi, especially when involving time
travel, doubles-down on the not making sense.

    That's why I don't over-analyse Doctor Who episodes too much, I
boil them down to whether I found them enjoyable to watch, or
not. Worrying about them not making sense or being proper
science based would just make me go dizzy. I'm quite forgiving
if I found an episode entertaining.

That's why episodes of shows like Star Trek where they simply
push the big red reset button (literally in
the case of a David Tennant Doctor Who episode!) are just a
complete waste of time by lazy writers who can't think of
    anything sensible to write.

If they bring David Tennant's Doctor back in 2026 for some
'specials' THAT would be my definition of lazy writing!!!

Wait and see. Maybe the Daleks are back this season!

Maybe? Haven't you watched the trailers or you are blind?

The Daleks are clearly back in S15/S2... and possibly with a
revamped version of their reality bomb if "The Reality War"
episode is the episode that they're in... like Daniel surmised.

Before anyone gets pedantic that should be > are you < not "you
are", as I was asking a question not making a statement...

Of course, at the end of the day it probably all amounts to the
same thing... and it probably saves me having to make the
statement when I get the predicted inane response!

Ah!! So it was a Genetic-thing, with specific bits of Dalek Genetic
make-up immune to whatever 'The Reality Bomb' was set up to blow up.

Season finale called "The Reality War" - will it be some technobollocks
where Rasilon teams up with Davros to cancel the entire universe?

.... or will it be a continuation of the 'New Who' episode where The
Daleks tried to deploy a Reality Bomb to end the Universe??

Never did work that out .... Why destroy The Universe .... The Universe
    in which YOU live??

Will you be ble to watch it?

The Daleks are clearly back in S15/S2... and possibly with a
revamped version of their reality bomb if "The Reality War"
episode is the episode that they're in... like Daniel
    surmised.

(Hey!! Did I (possibily) get something RIGHT ... for a
    change?!?!) ;-P

Well, lets look at the clues...

Something is clearly wrong with reality; "mavity", Susan
Twist, connections between Belinda Chandra and Mundy Flynn
(Boom)... as well as cartoon characters coming to life/the
Doctor and his companion becoming cartoon characters... (etc.)

There is an episode this season called "The Reality War". The
    finale.

The Daleks have previously created a multi-verse life destroying
device that they called a reality bomb.

The various trailers show Dalek saucers on [what is clearly]
Skaro and one has Dalek extermination rays killing a trooper.

So, whether you are right or not is anyone's guess at the
moment... but it's certainly a good guess!

Unfortunately, if you can't get to watch the new season you'll
never find out if you were right or not! :-)

Ah!! So it was a Genetic-thing, with specific bits of Dalek

    Something like that...

Of course, at the end of the day it probably all amounts to the

If Ncuti Gatwa leaves then his Doctor should regenerate in to

I think Dalek plans tend to be a bit more bonkers than most!

most TV and movies in general don't really make sense when you

That's why episodes of shows like Star Trek where they simply

of time by lazy writers who can't think of anything sensible

    Why?

It's a cop out... you can't just keep going back to David
Tennant every time there's a drop in ratings and the show is
    in trouble.

If Ncuti Gatwa leaves then his Doctor should regenerate in to
    the 16th Doctor.

Real 15th! Recall Gutwa is the Real 14th!

Stop the nonsense Dave. Either discuss it properly or don't
bother. You'll just confuse people, especially any [potential]
    newbies lurking...

Ncuti Gatwa is officially the 15th Doctor and when (if) there's
a new Doctor, they will be the 16th Doctor.

Unless David Tennant comes back and is the tenthteen Doctor!

Although in fairness, RTD did say that he wouldn't unwrite
anything that his good friend [Chris Chibnall] wrote, but he
didn't say anything about not un-writing anything that he
himself had wrote! So who knows?

Nope, not on any social media. Just here.

Don't you EVER confuse 'just here' with 'social media' .... EVER!!

    What is with you?!

And I have never even been on Twitter/X... ever.

That was copied and pasted from somewhere else... as it was the only
preview trailer I had seen yesterday.

I wouldn't be on X - or Facebook - if you paid me. Well okay, maybe
if you paid me A LOT ...

The Daleks are clearly back in S15/S2... and possibly with a
revamped version of their reality bomb if "The Reality War"
episode is the episode that they're in... like Daniel
    surmised.

    Exactly what I said!!

Dave, I'm not being funny but there are a lot of times where it
is very hard to know EXACTLY what you said, or mean even!

    Hear!! Hear!!

Guesswork gets me through most of it, but...

    Better you than me!

What was the last live DW episode you saw?

Can't say I've ever seen a 'live DW episode', Binky!! *EVER* !!

Saint in London" .... 1939, apparently .... so not all "This
    Century"!!

    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0031891/?ref_=fn_all_ttl_1

I loved The Saint when I was younger... not so much the old
movies, but the novels and the original TV show. I can't
remember when I last saw the George Sanders 'Saint' films on the
    TV though...

    I have my doubts.

    Tell that to Rylla Shenford.

    Who?

Exactly! You’re no Rylla Shenford. You never have been Rylla
Shenford. And you’re not likely to become Rylla Shenford in the
    foreseeable future.

    Whoever she is!

To be fair, Daniel ‘s programmes are all in colour and from this
century which makes them a _lot_ newer than the sort of things
    I normally tend to watch.

Schlinder's List is the only monochrome I can think of in the 21st Century.
