I have nothing against Stargate SG-1, "rec.arts.sf.tv" is that
way though -----> ;-)
But why bother reviewing episodes yourself when you can just get
Chat-GPT or Google Gemini to do it for you?! It works for Dave's
"Doctor Who" and "Star Trek" "reviews" that he populates various
newsgroups with.
My main exposure to Stargate SG-1 was through the Big Finish
audios more than the TV series... I picked up a couple of the
Stargate SG-1 audio box sets when they were in a sale to try
them out and quite enjoyed them. Then I watched some of the
Stargate TV shows. It was never my 'go to' TV series, but I
liked what episodes I did see.
Although I wouldn't have been a big enough fan of Stargate SG-1
to buy the 51 disc DVD cube! Neither did I bother with the
Stargate Atlantis audios when Big Finish done a few of those...
you can't buy everything!

There is, or was, a couple - i think they are fairly dead now tho. Which
for one of the best sci-fi shows ever made is quite surprising. Amazon
are supposedly planning a Stargate reboot for prime video, maybe things
will pick up there then if that ever gets to see the light of day. I
hope so.
I didn't realise there were Stargate Audio stories. Will have to
investigate those.

The Star Trek and Star Wars newsgroups are fairly dead and they
are still making those shows... so I'd say there's no hope for
Stargate. Unless Daniel wants to go over and review his DVD cube
episodes that is.
The best I could do is chip-in re the Stargate Big Finish audios
but I doubt many people bar hardcore Stargate fans have even
heard them.

I dunno about that one, but there is a 'alt.tv.stargate.sg1'
newsgroup... which on checking has only had four posts in 2025
and none in 2024.
There is also an 'alt.tv.stargate.sg-1' newsgroup which hasn't
had any posts in five years.
So this thread has already beaten the two of those "Stargate
SG1" newsgroups combined for posts!!!
I decided to dig out my Big Finish "Stargate SG-1" Series Three
(Part One) box set and I will listen to those three stories
again overt the next few days just to refresh my memory. I
recall them being quite enjoyable though. So those CD's are long
overdue for another spin... then I'll move on to the Part Two
box set.

Of course it does, that's what makes it fun. Quite enjoyed
the grandkids on the weekend watching a selection of fun
movies on....Disney+
That reminds me, the latest episode of "Daredevil: Born Again"
is released today...
I was watching a 9/11 documentary on Disney+ last night which
was quite good too... and one I hadn't seen. (9/11: One Day in
America.)
