That was in chapter 4 of _Spheres of Influence_, though somebody did
refer to Marc as Marc Cassius DuQuesne in _Grand Central Arena_. I have
a vague recollection that this question was asked back when the book was originally published, let's see if it was on Baen's Bar and if I can
find it (Google Groups is hopeless) ... sorry, couldn't find anything.
