Perry Rhodan has been informed by Atlan and Khrest that the Robot Regent
of the Arkonide Empire probably has a secret deactivation circuit. And
the Robot Regent is recruiting sentients to replace the robot commanders
of the vast Arkonide spaceship fleets. So Perry Rhodan, Bell, and 200 scientists change themselves to look like Zalites and transport
themselves to the Zalit home world, just three light years away from Arkon.
The cover depicts PR's adaptation of "press ganging" AKA "busification"
in the style of London. It shows an Arkon ambush checkpoint to capture conscripts.
The robot Regent realizes human emotion must be brought to bear
because logic by itself is inadequate. This theme also appears outside
of PR's Atlan und Arkon Zyklus - and also outside of PR altogether.
For instance, as AI calcifies, human emotion must be introduced in The
Golden Oecumene series by Wright.
