From Lenona@21:1/5 to All on Tue Mar 18 16:18:51 2025
Not to be confused with the 68-year-old American comic fantasy writer.

Or with two Canadian writers, four men in the music profession, the
producer of "Good Will Hunting," four athletes, the American
preservationist, or the American neuroscientist. (All of the above are
alive. For some reason, Wikipedia didn't make clear that the founder of
the Chicago Children's Choir died in 1987.)

    Excerpt:

..While best known for his visual journeys through the cosmos, Moore
produced a wide range of illustrations. He created the art for several
album covers, including Fleetwood Mac's "Penguin" (1973) and Stewart's
"The Vintage Years 1969-70" (1976), as well as contributing images to
magazines like Omni and Asimov's Science Fiction. And he designed
wallpaper tied to the Star Wars film "The Empire Strikes Back" (1980).

While he considered himself more a craftsman than an artist, Moore
allowed that there was a certain magic involved in bringing far-off
    worlds to life...

Evidently the only UK paper to carry the news was The Telegraph.
