    He who owns the high ground has a huge advantage.

    Does orbit qualify as high ground?  You'd think a defining property
    of high ground is that things want to move down from there.  That
    is, if I loosen a rock, it will roll down.  If I loosen a rock in
    orbit, it will stay in orbit with me.

    Only if that rock maintains speed.  If that rock slows down, lookout

    I was thinking more of Jerry Pournelle's old "Rods From The Gods" program.
