I read and really liked _Forrests of the Night_. Nohar Rajasthan
returns in _Fearful Symmetries_.

_Perry Rhodan_ has Dao-Lin-H'ay, starting somewhere around #1300,
who eventually joins the ranks of the immortals. I think she is one
of those long-serving characters in PR who have little in the way
of individual traits other than being all-around competent.

Didn't an early Flandry novel also feature a cat-like alien native
that proved quite the match for Flandry? _Ensign Flandry_?

Well, if the result looked like Nastassia Kinski, I could at least
consider that the process might be worth investigating. Although, if I
remember correctly, her character in that movie was a menace to the
people around her. That's hardly an improvement.
