Adult science fiction?
"young adult" a pretty standard publishing classification for a long
while
Didn't even know that was a thing. One learns
something new every day.
"Young Adult" even has some qualifications such as the publishing format
is usually trade paperback size with mmpb paper (cheap) and the price is
$11 to $15. Books that fit in this category are "The Maze Runner", this >book, "The Hunger Games", "Divergent", "The Giver", "Ender's Game", "The >City Of Ember", "Gone", "Harry Potter And ...", "Twilight", etc.
The Potter series were also Hardcover.
I waited to years after the last one came out to get it in paperback
so it would match the other six on my shelf. The two or three before
that that I had to wait for only took a year to go to paperback., but
the last one was milked for all it was worth.
