    The looping around dtla is not efficient.
    Build new segment of I-10 starting at Mission road northwest thru the UP rail yard and across LA river, Union station yards. Connect to new structure over 101 and 110 ( or new structure in Pico Union) and to I-10 near USC.

    More like Culver City from El Monte. Shaves 15 minutes Santa Monica to Pomona. USC freshman less likely to be carded in Monterey Park.
